Citizens' Oversight Committee

Measure J, a $65.5 million local school facilities bond measure and Measure R, a $60 million local school facilities bond measure, were passed by the voters requiring a 55 percent or “super majority” approval.  For this type of election the Education Code requires that independent oversight committees be appointed to review the bond expenditures and report their findings to the public until the projects included in the ballot language are complete and/or the funds are expended.
