K-12 Mild to Moderate Program

The K-12 Mild to Moderate Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI) Program is designed to work with students who require additional educational support other than what is provided through their general education classroom.  This additional support may be provided within the general education setting, through a pull-out service delivery model, or through a separate class.  This student population might include individuals with learning disabilities, cognitive disabilities, mild/moderate emotional disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and communication problems.  An IEP team determines the level of support required for the student to achieve educational benefit.  These supports and services are deemed to be mild/moderate on the continuum of the least restrictive environment (LRE).
